Derek, Ric, and Nate of the Fanboy Planet Podcast were nice enough to have me on so I could ramble endlessly about how much fun I had at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. Thanks for having me on, Guys!
UPDATE: See my full SWCA gallery HERE! It's taken me a couple of days to process last weekend's Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim (and also a couple of days to get over the ConCrud sickness that inevitably follows any convention experience). While I was excited to see art exhibits, buy new toys and memorabilia, and of course, see the new trailer for The Force Awakens, what truly drove me to Anaheim was the chance to finally meet, in person, several people I've known online for
Update: It was brought to my attention that the links to Dropbox were broken. I've moved the files to Google Drive so they should be accessible again. The game of Sabacc has been played in casinos and dives across the Star Wars Universe for centuries. In fact, it was a well-played hand of Sabacc that won Han Solo the Millennium Falcon. In season one of Star Wars: Rebels, Lando Calrissian was introduced in the episode Idiot's Array, During the opening moments of the episode, S
I use a Plano 1374 Tackle Box to store all of my X-Wing Miniatures material. This thing is seriously great, plenty of space for all my ships, tokens, rulers, etc. And while the sectioned drawers that come with the base box do a fine job protecting the plastic miniatures, I'm too nerdy to let something like that stop me from going way overboard. So I've purchased replacement drawers without the sections and will be cutting custom foam to keep all my minis snug and safe. Hey, e
I'm prepping, packing, and getting everything squared-away for my upcoming trip to Anaheim for the Star Wars Celebration. Four days of Star Wars goodness... Seriously. My bank account can't repell geekery of this magnatude.
I'm incredibly excited to announce that I will be contributing an essay to the third in a series of books coming from Sequart Research & Literacy Organization; A More Civilized Age: Exploring the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Joining A Long Time Ago: Exploring the Star Wars Cinematic Universe and A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Exploring the Star Wars Comic Books, A More Civilized Age will take a look at the incredible Expanded Universe (now known as "Legends") of novels, guidebooks,
Make sure to come see Last of the Red Hot Lovers by Neil Simon, directed by Bryan Freeman and Assistant Directed by yours truly at Northside Theatre Company, opening on 4/16! Middle-aged and married, overworked Barney Cashman wants to join the sexual revolution before it’s too late and arranges three seductions: the first, Elaine Navazio proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses; Bobbi Michele is next, a 20-ish actress who’s too kooky by half; finally comes September an
Anna Warren Cebrian, owner of Illusive Comics and Isle of Gamers, contracted me to design a 1/4-page ad for the Grand Opening of her new game shop. I based the design on a Magic: The Gathering card. The challenge of the piece was to get all the information necessary without it looking too busy... And complete it in five hours. I'm pretty happy with the result, and Anna loved it.
These Elite Pilot Talent and Droid action tokens just arrived from Litko. Very nice, though the etching isn't nearly as deep as I'd expected, so I'm not sure how well they'll take paint. Definitely going to have to play with it a bit.
Okay, so I've finally gotten off my ass and built a website to go along with one of the domain names I've been collecting... Since obviously I think it's 2003. Please feel free to take a look around - Since I can't stop messing with things, expect lots of changes in the future.
